It's beginning to feel a lot like... spring. Thanks to Grandma Cathy for the shoes - - we've gotten SO much wear out of them! Gymboree frog coat (2T-3T).

Butterfly Garden

Wow - - it's been a WHILE since I posted! Here are a few photos from the Butterfly Exhibit at the Nature Museum in Chicago. The Bug is all Gymboreed-out here in their fall "Owl" collection: brown corduroy pants with flower embellishments, a hot pink "tree" shirt, and striped short-sleeved hoodie (all 18-24 mo). New boots too! Stride Rite brown zip-up boots that light up. Awww yeah.

Visiting the Kennedy Presidential Library

Baby Gap pink hoodie (18-24 mo) and green "sweet" watermelon graphic tee (18-24 mo). Paired with Gymboree cropped jeans trimmed in green ribbon and white daisies, and pink Riley Roos (sz 3). Had a chance to visit the Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston last weekend with Grandma Robin, Aunt Sarah and Ms. Kathleen. Lila walked (with the assistance of two fingers!) most of the exhibits, and loved looking at things through the glass partitions. Our apologies to the poor employee that had to wash off all her fingerprints after we left...

Snack Time Sweetie

Totally Sweet orange tank top and multicolor polka dot shorts from Gymboree (12-18 mo). So-Dorable pink hair bow. Yes - - we're apparently into accessorizing now. :0) Thanks to Laura, John, Caitlin, Jack and Matthew for the bow - - her hair can finally hold them!. Don't you love how she's 'sharing' her snack with Chaeli? I guess we should be happy she understands the concept of sharing?

Monkey PJs X 2

For some reason, monkey PJs are really "in" right now. We actually have three pair - - the short, one-piece striped "gymmie" (12-18 mo) and the pink spaghetti strap top and bottom (18-24 mo). There's a third pair from Gap that I just haven't been able to snap a photo of yet!

Chatting with Lila & Monkey Faces

Gymboree green tank with white trim and daisy embellishments (12 - 18 mo) with Circo orange and white daisy shorts (12 mo).

It was one of those hazy, hot and humid days that should have been somewhere in the middle of July. Lila enjoyed part of the day in her swing under the shade with the outdoor ceiling fan blowing. :)

I know you're all shocked. Lila has become quite the chatterbox. Ironically, she's a bit camera shy... but I did manage to get a little babbling 'on tape' today. The other shocker? Her first 'real' word was "doggie." Imagine that?

While she's got the "How big is Lila?" trick down pat, her newest (and I'd venture to say original) trick is the 'monkey face.' I caught that a few times today, too. Enjoy!! :0)

Happy 9 month Birthday to the Bug!

Gymboree purple "Butterfly Kisses" gymmies (12-18 mo). Lila had a very busy weekend! She got to hang out with Daddy on Saturday morning and then went to the park for a walk with Mom, Grandma Robin and Aunt Sarah. Then she got to go to Medieval Times with Papa John, Grandma Robin, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Reid, Mom and Dad. Since it was a two twenty-minute nap kinda day, we were prepared for the worst - - but she LOVED it. She munched on roast chicken, baked potato and garlic bread like a champ and cheered for the black and white knight (clapping is a new favorite activity).

Today, she got to go shopping with Mom and Ms. Kelly. Pat thinks we were shopping for his birthday, but it was really Lila who made out like a bandit. A stop at Gymboree because of an impending pj crisis (she's just growing like a weed), turned in to a few more outfits, too... Lila also got to visit the Easter Bunny - - no trauma or drama, laughed the whole time. Tonight, she tried her first pasta (homemade tomato and carrot sauce - - 'finger food pasta' = early bath) and ate kiwi for the first time. Both seemed to be a hit.

The bug is now definitely Mobile - - with a capital M. She's crawling, climbing and pulling herself up everywhere! We can't believe the bug is getting to be such a big "little girl!" :)

Skype'n Baby :0)

Gymboree pink long-sleeve cupcake shirt (6-12 mo) and Stella Luna faux jean (they're really cotton stretch material!) pants (12-18 mo). Great lounging clothes! Thanks to Kim, John, Sam, Jill and Jess for the shirt! And thanks to Grandma Cathy for the comfy pants!

Lila spends a lot of time with me at work while I'm videoconferencing - - and now loves to skype with friends and family (she's pretty good at hitting the 'end' button too!). Someone on the other side of the web is definitely cracking this kid up! :0)
