It's been a whirlwind of traveling the past few days - - Christmas Eve and morning in Maryland and Christmas Day and the weekend in Chicago. Here are a few photos from the festivities! Happy holidays to all! :0)Christmas Eve at the 'farm' - Carter's green velvet and satin party dress (complete with nuk strap...) (9 mo).
Christmas Morning at home in the new chair Santa brought her. Carter's 'my first Christmas' reindeer pjs (6 mo). Thanks to Hannah and Martin for the pjs!! Christmas brunch in Chicago right after we landed. Gymboree green embroidered heart shirt with heart embroidered jeans (6-12 mo). Should have grabbed one of those new bibs Santa brought... Lila was lucky enough to get her two front teeth for Christmas, so drooling is more and more the main cause of wardrobe changes...Christmas dinner at Jackie and Chris' house. Gymboree 'glamour kitty' ensemble - - leopard onesie (12-18 mo) and red corduroy dress with leopard trim (6-12 mo). She's also wearing Baby Gap brown textured tights with footies (6-12 mo) and Gymboree red boots (sz 3). Thanks to Mom (Grandma Robin) for the outfit!
The godmother shot at Mara's christening reception. Gymboree purple smocked top with purple/pink embroidered jeans (6-12 mo). Thanks to Santa. :0)

Santa's Little Helper
This past weekend, we celebrated Christmas early at Grandma Robin's and Papa John's house (celebrations included a fabulous dinner, present opening session, cookie baking and snowstorm... :0)). But the festivities were also tiring (as you can see!). The red outfit is a New Potatoes Santa red dress with white trim and red and white striped leggings (9 mo) with Carter's "First Christmas Bib." Thanks to the Turano Family for the New Potatoes Outfit and Grandma Cathy for the bib! One of Lila's Christmas Gifts was a bike seat and pink hemlet - - so she's modeling the Bell baby bike helmet in one photo. In the last picture, she's wearing Baby Gap Overalls with flowered embroidery and a Baby Gap light pink owl onesie with a borrowed "Ravens" Santa Hat. Thanks to the Collins' family for the outfit and to Hayley for loaning the hat! (Sorry Pat -- she looks too darn cute and we don't have a Bears Santa Hat...)
She LOVES playing with her feet.
Lila and her dad.
We're getting close on this 'smiling for the camera' thing... :0)

All tuckered out with Mom, Dad, Bailey (can you see her back there?) and Chaeli.

Practicing Sitting Up
Gymboree striped hoodie sweater (3-6 mo), pink gingerbread long-sleeve onesie (6-12 mo) and brown velvet pants with white trim and hearts (6-12 mo). Lila is just starting to sit up unsupported (she's actually not leaning on the pillows in the first pic, they're there for peace of mind) - - but as you can see, it's really hard work!

Thanksgiving in Chicago
Gymboree "baby cakes" pink long sleeve onesie (6-12 mo) and Koala Baby denim jeans (3-6 mo). Relaxing before building candy houses with all of the cousins on Thanksgiving.
Gymboree pony long-sleeve onesie with brown and pink sweater dress (6-12 mo), and Baby Gap brown textured tights with grips on the bottom (LOVE the grips!! she doesn't slide all over the place when she stands up!). Hanging out with cousin Molly before Thanksgiving dinner.
Family photo on Thanksgiving. :0)
Gymboree striped sweater dress (6-12 mo) and pink onesie with striped leggings (better pics of those below!) Playing with Great Grandma Shirley, Aunt Kit and Lamaze the firefly.
Carter's pink bear snowsuit (6-9 mo). Picking out a Christmas Tree in Wisconsin.
Gymboree long-sleeve onesie with striped leggings (6-12 mo). Playing with the ball with Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Tim.

Lila and Her Dogs
Carter's Winter Friends Long Sleeve Onesie (9 mo.) Lila's favorite playmates lately are Chaeli and Bailey. Bailey (the bichon) is infinitely patient with her (as you can see in the first photo!) and Chaeli (jack russell/chihuahua) has a serial licking problem, so she likes to help keep Lila clean (no matter how much we object). Here are a few photos we snapped Sunday night. :0)
Lila is becoming mobile (eek!). She rolls around and scoots across rugs. She's also starting to reach and grab more frequently... so here are a few shots of her playing on the boppy mat that same night.

The Sweet Pea Chronicles: Part I
So, in this series of photos, Lila is wearing sweet peas. So is her father. So is the high chair.
We started her on 'phase one' foods about two weeks ago (with the pediatrician's blessing and approval) and are making them ourselves (surprisingly easy so far... although it may get more time consuming...). But someone (who will remain nameless) thought she's enjoy the sweet pea puree if it had triple the formula in it. And this is what happened. Needless to say, he probably won't make it with quite so much liquid next time. Everyone, including the floor, needed a shower after this one.
Sweet peas aren't a fan favorite just yet - - she seems to prefer sweet potatoes, avocados, bananas and apples. Pears and squash are up next. :0)

Just for you Chicago Cubs fans...
I'm pretty sure that Pat might hide this outfit, but here's Lila decked out in her pink Cubs gear!! If you want to see her in the White Sox gear, you can check out this September post (it's amazing how much she's grown since then!).

Out for a Walk and the Great Debate
Dwell Studios for Target purple and yellow butterfly onesie and magenta/purple/yellow hoodie with striped hat (3-6 mo). The red that is all over her face is the tylenol she decided to spit out right as I was taking this photo - - but it was just too cute not to post. Doesn't look like she's having that bad a response to yesterday's vaccines? :0)
In honor of her great-grandfather's political debate on Sunday, Lila wore her Obama "progress" onesie - - thanks to (aunt) Kit for the onesie!
