Gymboree pink corduroy embroidered flower dress (6-12 mo) and white onesie with pink trim and turtles (12-18 mo). Many thanks to the Cullen Family (Bubba, Jen, Brady and Ashley) for the adorable dress!
Lila had a very busy today! Church, family lunch (and we're a very big crowd) at Eichenkranz - - a Baltimore German restaurant in Highlandtown, and errands in Hunt Valley.... Believe it or not, we made it through the entire day in one outfit, except we had to lose the tights as soon as we got home to create easier access to her toes. Lila has also discovered that she can "hide" under flowy skirts and shirts, so 'peek-a-boo' doesn't even require a blanket anymore. :)

Happy (Belated) 7 Month Birthday to the Little ... er/uh... Pear :0)
Baby Gap yellow pear graphic print cotton long-sleeve tee (12-18 mo), green and white pear print leggings (12-18 mo) and white and green pear graphic socks. So, we're not completely out of the woods with this whole sick thing - - every time we think Lila's cold has cleared up, some symptom comes back. But, she has been a whole lot happier and did turn 7 months this past week. Despite not feeling well, she is more curious and precocious than ever. (You might be able to tell from the photos that Pat sometimes bears the brunt of the curiosity....) She's now drinking pretty well from a sippy cup, sitting up on her own, and is up on her hands and knees, ready to craw. Latest food additions? Chicken, cauliflower, papaya and apricots.

Peek a Boo
So, we've had some sort of horrible awful sickness running through our house and poor Lila seems to have been bearing the brunt of it. Four days of fever, seven days of cold symptoms and it started off with a fabulous GI ick. In any case, we were very glad to see glimpses of our happy go-lucky girl tonight - - ironically during a laundry folding session! She was sitting on the bed playing while I was folding - - and grabbed a pair of her dad's boxers (clean, of course! But makes you wonder why spend money on toys if all she wants is clean underwear?). Take a look at what happened... I couldn't stop laughing.

Last Week Day with Ms. Tarah
Carter's long sleeve rainbow striped shirt (6 mo) with Baby Gap Brannan's favorite navy blue yoga pants (12-18 mo). Today was Lila's last day with Ms. Tarah, the babysitter she's had since I went back to work, because Tarah starts full-time student teaching next week (the nerve of some people wanting to go to college and get a degree to help special needs kids...! :0)). We'll definitely miss her! (But we're also really excited for all of the lucky kids she's going to be working with!)
Playing with the music table she got for Christmas - - pulls herself up to standing and everything.
Blowing kisses or making a fish face?

I can sit all by myself, thank you
Gymboree navy blue and pink butterfly graphic tee (12-18 mo), Carter's white long sleeve onesie (9 mo), and Baby Gap Brannan's favorite pink yoga pants (12-18 mo). Our fast-becoming little miss independent is now sitting all by herself (even pulls herself into a sitting position), rolls all over the place and pulls herself into a standing position if she's sitting and has something to grab onto. Can you see the two teeth in the last photo? :0)

A Day Off in January
I had the day off for Martin Luther King Day today, so Lila and I got to spend the entire day together. After a quiet morning (she took a long nap and I got a ton of much-needed laundry done!), we packed up our lunch and headed over to Port Discovery, the local children's museum. She had a ball! She loved watching all of the kids climb up the three-level tree house and walking through all of the exhibits. Her favorite part was the drum circle. Personally, I thought we'd last about 2 minutes in a room with 75 kids and adults hitting percussion instruments in time - - but Lila loved her tambourine! And then, when she got a little tired of that, she loved just clapping (and jumping) to the beat.
It was a beautiful 55 degree day, so after Port Discovery we wandered around Barnes and Noble and the Inner Harbor. Lila picked out a new pop-up book called "Everyone Says I Love You" (gotta get ready for her first Valentine's Day!). A quick trip to Whole Foods to pick up some things and we were home in time for broccoli and papaya dinner (two new foods Lila is now eating - - other recent additions include cherries, blueberries, peaches, and mangoes).
Today's outfit was a pink "Hoo Loves You Baby" owl long-sleeve onesie and blue jeans with Fair Isle cuffs from Gymboree (both 12-18 months). She also had on a light pink First Impressions sweater coat - - we have gotten so much use out of this sweater since she can't stand coats! Thanks to the Krugs for the sweater jacket!

And although Pat didn't have the day off, he and Lila had a lot of fun making faces in the bathroom mirror (a favorite pastime of late) when he got home from work.
And then it was bath time and bed time. Across the Nile two-piece button-down pajamas (18-24 month). A little big, but super soft cotton and really warm! Many thanks to Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Tim for the pjs!
Chaeli wanted a good night kiss. :0)

Vote for your favorite bathing suit!
So, we are heading some place much warmer for vacation in March and I have some Gymbucks to burn next week - - and I can't decide which of the very cute bathing suits Gymboree has out to buy for Lila. If you're not familiar with Gymbucks, you can accrue them during special times of the year and then redeem them for a short period of time. Since I can't decide which to buy, I thought it might be fun to let everyone vote. You'll notice a poll on the right hand side of the blog - - simply take a look at the swim suit options below and choose your favorite! Poll closes on Saturday. :)

Eek! First post of 2010?
Well, things have been awfully busy in the Walsh household, but I still can't believe we're almost to mid-January and haven't posted anything! Here are some photos to bring everyone up to speed. :)
Don't bother me, Mom, I'm reading! Old Navy "CUTIE" blue onesie (6-12 mo) with Baby Gap brown "Brennan's Favorite" pants (6-12 mo). Thanks to Kate and Sean for the onesie and Bobbie and Joe for the book!
Too cute. :)Grocery Store fun... and she's so excited to be able to sit in the seat and 'hold on.' Gymboree Fair Isle Sweater with faux fur collar and hat (6-12 mo), Carter's fleece pants (9 mo) and Gymboree boots.
A fellow Wegman's shopper stopped me in the produce section to exclaim, "Gymboree has never looked so good." I have to agree. :)
Neener, Neener, Neener...
Playing in the new exersaucer wearing the Rabbit Moon outfit (blue ruffled top with brown ribbed leggings, 9-12 mo) from the Kolinskys. Thanks, Kathy and Marty!
Such a big girl!! Sitting up in her "Lila chair" - - better view of the leggings. :)
Eek!! Teeth! :0)The contortionist... Carter's green fleece pajamas with pink flower (12 mo). Thanks to Sarah and Reid for the PJs!
